Welcome to National Lighting’s Website. The Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions between the user or viewer of our website ‘you’ and National Lighting. They do not effect your statutory rights. Please ensure that you read them carefully before placing an order with us.

Access to this website is permitted on a temporarily basis and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend services without any notice. Any changes will take effect on the date they are posted on our website. We are not be liable for any reason that this Website should be unavailable to browse.

Making A Purchase

It is really easy to make a purchase.

Just go to out shop, select the items that you wish to buy and add them to the shopping cart. After you have finished shopping, click on “Cart” and you will be able to review your order. If your order is satisfactory you can then click the proceed to checkout button. You will then be taken to a page for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

Payment may be made as follows:
Credit/Debit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Your payment details are powered securely through Stripe and we do not see your credit/debit card details. If an order is cancelled your credit card authorization will be voided and no money will be taken from the card.

Prices

The total price payable will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been acknowledged. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our suppliers, prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been acknowledged. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. All prices are inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time the order is placed. Prices may vary and may not be available in-store or over the telephone.

Although we endeavor to ensure that all pricing information on the website is accurate, occasionally an error may occur and goods may be priced incorrectly. If we discover a pricing error we will, at our discretion, either: contact you and ask you whether you wish to cancel your order or continue with the order at the correct price; or notify you that we have cancelled your order. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.

Prices that are reduced for sales and promotions ore only valid for the specified period.

Order Processing

Your order is sent directly to our system to be placed in our shop for processing. Once we have received your order and payment, our staff will pick, pack and despatch the item. We will aim to do this the same day for all orders in our shop Mon-Fri (excl Bank Holidays and Seasonal Holidays). If you are ordering from outside Ireland, UK or Europe please call us first to discuss your requirements so that we can assist you accordingly.

Shipping And Handling

All orders sent within Ireland are free. UK delivery is €12.50 and delivery for Europe is €25.00.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you. You will always be e-mailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the Ireland or the European Union, 23% VAT is added. The correct VAT will be calculated at checkout.

Credit Card Security

For 100% security we use Stripe to process your credit/debit card details. We do not hold these details nor at any time do we see them. This gives you complete confidence that you are purchasing from a totally secure website.

Protecting Your Security

To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

WEEE and waste batteries

National Lighting will take back your WEEE on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis, free of charge at the time of delivery or at any one of our store(s) nationwide. Waste batteries are taken back in store on a one-for zero basis (i.e. no purchased required) as long as they are of equivalent type to that sold by us. WEEE and waste batteries can also be returned to your local civic amenity site free of charge. Never put WEEE, batteries or light bulbs in any of your bins.
